Hello!
Welcome to my online music studio, where learning piano and music theory is fun, flexible, and designed just for you! Whether you’re a beginner, an experienced player, or preparing for Royal Conservatory of Music exams, I’ll help you grow your skills in a supportive and creative space.
Perhaps you are an adult fulfilling a lifelong dream to play piano, or you learned piano as a child and are now returning to the instrument you love. You may be an instrumentalist completing your advanced RCM theory requirements. You may be an established piano teacher seeking to expand your improvising skills. I can meet you wherever you are on your musical journey.
I work with students who have studied piano for at least one year, up to established teachers. My students range in age from 10 years to adult.
Lessons take place on Zoom, so you can learn from the comfort of your own home – just like we are sitting side by side at the piano. All you need is a good instrument, a laptop or iPad, and a stable internet connection.
Students are accepted by interview. Registration for new students opens in June 2025. Let’s make music together!
- Students study on their own instruments in the comfort of their own home. I can check your posture, fingering, and practice space.
- Lessons are interactive conversations, with quick back-and-forth pacing.
- Homework and resources are available within 24 hours of each lesson, often with custom-written exercises. Students have access to the lesson whiteboard(s) and recording for review during the week.
- Students become more independent musicians with increased music vocabulary and aural skills.
- Online lessons are convenient. Hop online for your lesson, sign off, and go directly to your next activity. Parents are freed from driving and wait times.
- Parents can easily attend or listen in on lessons, resulting in more effective practice during the week.
- More flexible scheduling. With no travel time and time zones around the world, the schedule is not limited to just after-school and evening times.
- Never miss a lesson due to bad weather, traffic, or the sniffles. Regular attendance yields progress!
- Excellent instruction by an experienced instructor who is comfortable with tech. I have multiple camera angles, screen sharing, and high quality microphones and cameras.
- Lessons feel like we are sitting shoulder to shoulder at two pianos. And, I get to meet your pets!
